This was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. Two of the characters are from books because I couldn't come up with anymore characters with names starting with A, at least not for their first name.

Amanda (Highlander)
An 1100 year old immortal. Beautiful, devious, sneaky and a master thief. I always liked Amanda, she is probably my favorite of Duncan's 'romantic interests'. (Not that I don't like Tessa, she's just not one of my favorite characters.)

Angel (Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel)
A vampire with a soul. He becomes more brooding and annoying as the two series go on. I like Angel a lot during the first season of Buffy. During the next two seasons and during Angel, I don't really care for him much.

Andromeda "Rommie" (Andromeda)
She's a warship and an android. The only character I can think of that can have a three way argument (with herself) and lose. :) She's one of my favorite characters on the show, as side from the last season which she's hardly in and when she is she's rather insane.

Anita Blake (Anita Blake Series)
An 'Animator' and vampire executioner. Human servant to the Master of St. Louis, Bolverk and de-facto Lupa of the local werewolf clan, Nimir-Ra of the were-leopards and (possibly) soon to be Regina of the were-lions. I like Anita, (even in the newest books) or more realistically especially in the newest books. (Which puts me firmly in the minority of the fandom). It's taken an immensely long time, but she is finely starting to be (if not comfortable) accepting of who and what she is.

Asher (Anita Blake Series)
A golden-haired, blue-eyed vampire that is so beautiful it defies words. My second favorite vampire in the series and third favorite character
over-all (aside from Anita).
