Hopefully it tastes as good as it sounds. The frosting didn't turn out quite right. Which doesn't surprise me (I have a very difficult time with cooked frostings). I made a basic Buttercram frosting instead. Which is 1 cup butter and 4 cups confectioner's sugar. You cream them together then add the orange juice (about 2 tablespoons). I also added food coloring to make it orange colored.
To serve it you place one of the round cakes on a platter/cake plate and spread about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of frosting on it. Then place the second cake on top. Use the remaining frosting to frost the top and the sides of the cake until the whole thing is covered.
