Blake's 7 - I first saw Blake's 7 around October of 2007. My boyfriend liked the show and a got copies of all 4 seasons. I wasn't too impressed with the first episode (it's a bit boring for a first time watcher, IMO). By the 4th episode, however, I was hooked. Avon quickly became my favorite character (oh, how I love intelligent, snarky characters). I immediately saw the possibilities of Blake/Avon as a pairing (one of my main pairings being Spike/Xander I'm no stranger to impossible pairings with characters the hate each other) and quickly checked to see if there was fic for the pairing. For about a month or so I was determined to stay away from actually reading any of the fic I found, but eventually caved in. :) After watching all 4 seasons, I immediately watched them all again and liked them even better the second time around. A new obsession was born...
dragcave - I actually noticed dragcave for the first time abut two years ago when

Whlie we're on the subject; has everyone seen the two new dragons here and here. There was also a Valentine's Day dragon. I didn't manage to get one of those though, they're breedable so maybe next year.
Doctor Who - This show brings out my OCD big time. Classic Doctor Who was always one of those shows I avoided at all costs. The sets and the costumes are absolutely craptastic and I really don't like Tom Baker all that much. Then Sci-fi channel started airing the new series and I loved it. Nine was my 'first' doctor and he will always be my favorite. Unfortunately, I'm very particular about television shows. If I watch a show I HAVE to watch it from the beginning (this is where my OCD comes in). I didn't really matter that I didn't actually want to watch the original series, if I was going to keep watching the new stuff eventually I was going to have to watch the old. I put it off for as long as I could. Then Van got me interested in the idea of Two/Jamie. Finally, a reason to watch it that made me interested in watching it. Of course I still had a small dilemma. I can't stand watching series out of order and I was more interested in watching Two's serials as opposed to One. I got around that bit by watching them simultaneously. I still haven't caught up with the classic serials (I'm still at the beginning of Four's run). Two and Nine are definitely my favorite Doctors. Yes, I like Rose. I didn't really care for Martha that much until we saw her again in series 4 and in Torchwood. I hated Jack Harkness the first time we met him, eventually I came to love him though. My favorite Master is Roger Delgado. A quick side note here; Cliff Simon would be brilliant as the Master.
Carson Beckett - I absolutely loved him from the moment he appeared. I grin like an idiot every time he's on the screen. That Scottish accent is just lovely and Paul McGillion is rather gorgeous. :D That Carson is my favorite SGA character doesn't really surprise me. It's actually my second favorite that astonishes me, especially considering I originally despised him. Yep, you guessed it. It's Rodney. Not surprisingly McKay/Beckett has become my favorite pairing (with Rodney/Radek coming in a close second). I haven't seen season 5 of Atlantis yet (although I have finished season 4) and I have remained almost completely unspoiled. I would very much like it to remain that way. I know we see Carson again, but that's about all I know and I know even less about the rest of the season.
Icons - Originally I started making icons (and desktop wallpapers) because I was bored and had no inclination to write (and even less talent at writing, which shows in the few things I've managed since). I am, however, occasionally good at craft/art projects. I wanted to actually make a contribution to the fandoms I was in though, so I turned to wallpapers first, then after I joined LJ I began making icons as well. The first icon I ever made was this one of Amanda from Highlander. Surprisingly it came out pretty much the way I wanted it to (even though it probably doesn't look it). It was made almost entirely with MS Paint with a few touches added using Borderbund's Print Shop 20. Until recently those were the only graphics programs I had to work with. I still use them, however, I also have Photoshop Elements 5.0 now. (Which is what I used to make the icon I'm using for this post) For some reason I can't quite figure out, In January I got an itch to create icons. Lots of them. I didn't want to end up making a bunch of random icons which is why I came up with the idea to make

I was going to add the Fannish Friday 5 to this post, but the question this week is back-assward.
Name 5 characters you initially found appealing, but eventually came to hate.
With me it's always the other way round. I start out disliking/hating a character then gradually begin to like/love them.
