A fic you weren't sure you'd like but ended up loving

This is another difficult one. Because All the fics I've read that I didn't think I'd like, but ended up liking are because I'm not (or wasn't) sold on the pairing. Which is the question for day 28 of this meme...


Now, keep in mind I absolutely adore the author of these fics. My whole reason for not being sure I'd like them is that I didn't think I'd like the pairings.
