Fannish Friday 5 - Future Fandoms

Name five fandoms that you're not (yet) in, but which seem intriguing.


Robin Hood (2006) I'm not particularly fannish about this show, but there are a few pairings that sound interesting.

Andromeda A very small fandom. It's slowly dying.

Stargate SG-1 Again, I'm not real fannish about it...yet. That may change, but it is interesting. Although I don't really want to be in another huge fandom

Rome I have yet to see this, but it is on my must watch eventually list.

Iron Man I have, so far, resisted the temptation to actually get invoved in this fandom. If I do, it will be the only fandom that I don't prefer a slash (cannon or not) pairing over het pairings or gen stories.

Andromeda was okay at first. It got really wierd and very mythology-driven during its last season or two. But worth the time.

Stargate SG-1 was my first college fandom. I still watch it occasionally, but don't do much with it online anymore. It lasted 10 seasons, so it'll take you a while to get through. Another worthwhile fandom it you have the time and the energy to weed out the crazy.

Rome is so totally awesome that I can't even begin to describe my love for it. It only lasted 20 episodes, so it'll be easy to finish. The fandom for Rome isn't all that big, but it is dedicated. Think of Rome as porn for historians, and you'll get an idea of what it's about.

I'm not into Robin Hood or Iron Man, so I can't give you any input on them. But if you wanna know more about the others I'd be happy to give you some recommendations.

I've actually seen all of Andromeda and I love the show. It's the fandom I'm not real sure about. I've found a couple places that have Andromeda fic, but for the most part it seems that the fandom is dead or dying.

I've just started watching SG-1. I just finished season 2. :)

I keep hearing good things about Rome. I might have to move it closer to the top of my must watch list.

You actually might like Robin Hood. Season 2 is almost over but it is out on DVD. It's a BBC show.
