I spent most of the day transferring fic to my new Kindle. So far I've got:

Five Rings Series by Josie H (BtVS Spike/Xander)


And since that is going to be a bit of work there is another list of  transfers for a later date:

Yes, these are the huge multi-chapter fics that take days (or weeks) to read. Which is actually the whole reason I wanted a Kindle. So I could put these fics on there and not have to sit at the computer to read them! I'm sure there are a few more I'll add as well and seeing as how I get my self a new fandom* every time I turn around I'll probably find even more to add.

Hrmmm...that might be an idea: putting links to fics already formatted for such devices.

I'm doing it with copy/paste and saving the files as .txt files and then using the drag and drop method to put them onto the Kindle.

Hmmm...yeah. I'm wondering if I can format it for kindle/ipad already and provide a link to people reading. Maybe even with goodies. I don't tend to get many readers, however.

I don't see why you couldn't. Mobipocket Converter will convert the file to an eReader friendly format then you can upload the file to megaupload or multiupload and offer a download link from there.

Clearly I need to get you into Power Rangers fandom at least enough to read my fics there. I MISS YOUR LOVELY COMMENTS. XD

Well, do I actually need to know anything about the show (other than the basic premise and who's who) to read the fics? If not, I'm more than willing to give it a shot. I've not read anything of yours that I haven't liked. Even pairings that I just can't wrap my head around, you somehow manage to convert me into shipping them. *g*

I'm also considering reading your LoTR fics on Crackerbox Palace.

You know the way I write; you actually need to know the canon. You might enjoy them anyway as semi-original stories, but I know I refer to events and things in canon that won't make sense unless you've seen that episode/season/whatever. XD And of course character voice and all that is superior when you know what they actually sound like. XD

Oh god, those fics are so bad and old. And potentially unfinished. I had my time back then where I'd start epic fics and never finish them, so be warned.

Hopefully I'll get my other computer back up and running in a couple months (March or April) and then I can download the show and watch it.

I used the Online ebook Converter to make the file, that site will also change .doc, .rtf and .pdf files into other eReader formats as well.
