Question for my flist

I've been invited to be a recc'er on epic_recs. I have a long-ish list of fics I will be using as a starting point for my recs, as well as looking up more on my own. At the moment I've been cleared to rec in the following fandoms:

Highlander
Firefly
Tin Man
Robin Hood - BBC 2006 
Blake's 7
Sherlock Holmes -- RDJ Movie!verse

I may be given the go ahead for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Doctor Who as well. And I can rec in any fandom that hasn't been claimed by another recc'er.

So my question is:

Are there any fics in those fandoms or any of the smaller fandoms I have listed here, that you think deserves recognition? They need to be well written with no or very little grammar/spelling errors and preferably 10,000+ words. There can be some that are shorter than that, but the point of the comm is long, plotty, well written fic.

I dunno how much it'll help you, especially since I didn't mark down lengths, but my (out dated) fic list is here which you can browse through to look for stuff. It's all pretty old, which may be a nice thing for your list since old fics need love, too. It'sgonna have at least DW and Firefly stuff, and maybe some B7 as well, though there just aren't many 10k+ B7 fics out there that I didn't write.

Yay! Firefly is the fandom I need the most help with, cause the only Firefly fic I've read is 'And In Then End' and 'Took The Sky' both of which I plan on recc-ing, btw.

'Something Yet to Learn' is also on my list of things to rec. And I plan on scouring the Blake's 7 Fanfiction Archive as well.

Merlin bbc is a huge fandom as bbc sherlock and xmen first class so there is a lot of awesomeness in there, but sure thing it will be claimed.

Dr Who had a huge fandom and writers too i don't read much in them, but the list is big very big everyday.

you forget Ten/Master, and the obvious Eleven/River, there are fics for Ten/Donna (i don't think that happen at all)

the fav old doctor is 4 so there is a lot of fic about him.

i know a friend who knows a lot about white collar i will ask her about that fandom.

kianspo knows all about Merlin
the fav pairing there are Arthur/Merlin, my personal fav, Merlin/Gawein/Arthur or combinations betwen them, Arthur/gwen, and a lot more.

and i'm actually diggin trough first class and bbc sherlock, so if you need something of there if they are not claimed i can make you a rec.

idk if i would have the time to dig in doctor who because is really big is like dig in star trek

Most of the Major fandoms are claimed by other recc'ers (Merlin, Sherlock BBC -- which I don't like, X-Men: First Class)

I've been a part of Doctor Who fandom for years, I know where to find fic for that. The list I have of pairings is my own list of what I read.

What I'm actually asking for is if there are any specific fanfics in any of the fandoms list here that people on my flist absolutely love and think deserve to be recc'ed.

You could look at the crack_van recs, though some are for short fics.

I also saved ones I liked in my memories:

vilakins has got in ahead of me with B7 but I absolutely second the recs for Lillian Shepherd's fics and I'd add The Road to Hell by Suzan Lovett.

For Highlander anything by killabeez but particularly for me Darkest Hour, which is actually a HL/X-Files crossove but much more HL than X-Files.

I really love Phoenix Fire by Chris too and anything at Sylvia Volk's page is worth reading though I'm not sure how long they are. Nutmeg9cat's brilliant "As Time Goes By" series is there too, though sadly unfinished.
