100 Things: Post #10: Erotica Fiction

Considering my rating of choice for fic is NC-17, I suppose it's not a surprise that I've read erotica books as well. :p  While I haven't read much Erotica Fiction that isn't fanfic, the few I have read I absolutely adore. Here are the one's I have read:

An argument can be made that both of Laurell K. Hamiltion's series' are erotica as well. The Anita Blake series doesn't have much sex at all until around book 5... then, well, so many men so little time. ;) The Merry Gentry series on the other hand is HOT, HOT, HOT!

I think of the first 5 Anita books as foreplay to the rest of the series where it's 'who's gonna be the lucky men to be close by when Anita looses control'. However, I must say that I have really enjoyed the last couple of books where it's been more the 'Anita and Edward solving cases' show than the 'Anita and lots of sex with many different men' show. Therefore, I am excited to see what the new book has in store for us...can't wait for June to get here!

I've never read the Merry series. Maybe I should give it a try...

As much as I LOVE the sex in the Anita Blake series, I've been liking the shift back to her and Edward solving murders as well.

The Merry Gentry series, while there is a plot in there, it's much more about the sex. And if you think Anita has a lot of 'honeys', Merry has more. ;)

Oooooo u mean Merry has more guys than Anita?! Holy.....! Ok, I am suddenly very interested in reading that series now....yeah I know I'm weird.

Speaking of 'Honeys' I wish Edward wasn't with the woman that he is living with, cause I'd kind of like to uhhh 'see' him in action with a woman either human or vampire just because he sounds kind of hot and I think he'd be on the freaky side. I know definitely that I don't want to see him with Anita, cause that would be weird and kind of gross. I don't want to see him molested by some evil vampiress either. Picture this, Edward the big bad killer of naughty vampire's everywhere maybe gettin it on with some super irresistible hottie...I know I'd like to read that!

Roquelaure is Anne Rice. I LOVE that series. I love Bertrice Small(I started out reading the Skye O'Malley series as a young teenager) and LK Hamilton(the heavy smut starts in Narcissus In Chains) also. There is also Emma Holly, Kate Douglas, Lora Leigh. Emma Holly is outstanding. The first M/M I ever read was a scene in one of her books. Anything by Emma Holly is incredible.

*g* Since the Beauty trilogy is so different than anything else Anne Rice has written I decided to go ahead an use her pseudonym. ;)

The first of Bertrice Small's books I read was actually Private Pleasures. Then I found her Friarsgate Inheritance series and fell in love with it.
