Today's drawing is based on a character(?), race(?) from the Honor Harrington novels by David Weber. 

It is a Treecat. You can find out more about them in the Wikipedia entry HERE. 

I used a picture of a Jaguarundi cat as my guideline. They are the same size as Treecats, but their tails are shorter. ( HERE  or HERE for more about them).
