I'm amazed that they consider 60+ books in a lifetime to be a lot. I read more than that in a year.

When I actually concentrate on reading I read more than double that in a year. Most of these types of quizzes are made by teenagers with limited attention spans though. So for them 60+ books is an enormous number.

When I was a teenager I read 6 books a week. It's less now because I don't have the time, but I can still polish a fascinating one off in a day. :-) The author also seems to think that fannishness = anime.

I read a lot as a teen as well, but the number of teens that actually read large amounts of books is relatively small. For the most part (from what I've seen anyway) even the ones that like to read will generally read one book per week. And a surprising portion of 'fannish' teens only seem interested in reading comics or manga these days and their entire 'fannish' world revolves primarily around one or more types of anime. Which is probably what the author of this particular quiz is into.

Only one book a week? Reading is my great escape and the way I treat reality! But then, introverts are in a minority so I'm used to being considered a little weird.
