Posting about the New Year reminds me, I haven't posted about Christmas yet!!
I did make the pie I've been wanting. I turned out quite well and everyone liked it. I also made Melt-in-Your-Mouth Christmas Marbles (cookies) and I found a recipe for Hot Chocolate Cookies that I'm going to make soon.. Recipes at bottom of post.
Presents... Well, we got a lot of presents (from quite a few different people). For the DVD's and CD's I'm going to list what all 3 (me, boyfriend and my mother) of us got.

I've used the Target and Michaels gift cards already. I got another media cabinet at target. I got a couple craft projects at Michaels and a 'How to Draw Dragons' book and a sketchbook.
Melt-in-Your-Mouth Christmas Marbles
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
6 Tablespoons powdered Sugar (icing/confectioners sugar)
1/4 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 cup minus 2 Tablespoons All purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
Red and green food coloring
Preheat oven to 305* F. Lightly grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
Beat butter an sugar in a large bowl until light an fluffy. Beat in vanilla until well blended. Gradulally add flour and salt beating after each addition. Transfer half the dough to a medium bowl and add red food coloring, mixing until well blended and desired color is reached. Add green food coloring to remaing dough.
Using a small amout of each color dough, shape into balls (a little larger than marble size) (if dough is too soft, refrigerate for 1 hour). Place balls on prepared cookie sheets and bake 12-14 minutes.
Hot Chocolate Cookies
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk chocolate chips, melted and divided
1 cup all purpose flour
Mini marshmallows cut into small pieces
Preheat oven to 350* F. Lightly grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
Beat butter, sugar and salt in a large bowl until well blended. Add 1/4 cup melted chocolate chips, beat until well blended. Gradually add flour, beating after each addition. Shape dough into Tablespoon sized balls (if dough is too soft, refrigerate for 1 hour). Place balls on prepared cookie sheets, flaten balls into i/2-inch thick rounds. Bake 15-17 minutes. Cool cookies completely. Use remaing melted chocolate to frost cookies and top with marshmallow pieces. Refrigerate 1 hour or until chocolate is set.
